Violin Lessons in The Hague by Sacha Paredes

Hello!! I’m Sacha, a violin teacher from Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain). Since completing my master’s at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, I have been giving lessons in the city. I offer private violin lessons for children as young as 3, as well as for adults, beginners, and advanced players.

My evolution as educator

I started teaching violin in 2020, after assisting the renowned Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University. He encouraged me to pursue teaching alongside performing, and since then, I’ve never stopped sharing my passion for violin. In 2017, I earned my Bachelor’s degree at Alfonso X el Sabio in Madrid under the guidance of Alfredo García, an esteemed violin pedagogue. During my time in Indiana, I was deeply involved in my Master’s in Music Education, and it was there that my dedication to teaching truly flourished. Later, I decided to broaden my knowledge by completing a Master’s in Music Psychology in Spain, which has been invaluable both in teaching and in my own practice. To further round out my education, I completed a Master’s in Violin Performance at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. Throughout this journey, I’ve taught in Spain, the U.S., and now in the Netherlands, delivering lessons in Spanish, English, and Dutch.

Teaching, playing and researching in The Netherlands

As both a passionate violinist and teacher, I currently teach at Strijkdomein and coach at the Jong Talent program at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. I also give lessons at Het Klooster (Woerden) and for the Residentie Orkest Educational Project. In addition, I perform with my contemporary music group, Resonance Quartet, and play with various orchestras in the Netherlands. I am also a member of the committee for the ESTA (European String teachers Association) conference 2025. Finally, I am involved in research alongside colleagues at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, focusing on learning processes and coaching young students.

Private lessons are available by appointment throughout the week, with the duration tailored to the student’s age and ambition. I also regularly offer group lessons and organize student concerts. My lessons take place at Strijkdomein, Piet Heinplein (The Hague).
